"Used from Cruise port Ochos Rios in mid Aug 2018. Pick up was about 10 minutes late. They pick up for Parasise Cove and one other hotel (Paradise is 1st). 20 minute ride. Hotel check in was 10 minutes. Get wristband. Plenty of chairs with umbrellas by pool and beach. Drinks are pretty good. Get there by 10:30am and a good breakfast buffet. Lunch pretty good or pizza place. One bad item. They were to pick us up by 3:10pm for 4:30pm ship. By 3:30pm no bus. We asked and resort desk called and said they were on way. Not sure if they would have been there anyway, but did arrive about 3:40pm Then to other hotel and got to ship by 4:10pm A bit too close for comfort. Have them call at once if over 5 minutes late! Company should have contacted hotel as soon as they knew they would be late. Otherwise, a very nice day." - Mike, August 22, 2018
"Jewel Paradise Cove is a fun place to spend a day in Jamaica. The beach is nice and the snorkeling at the quiet beach was very enjoyable. The food is good and the fruit smoothies were a cool treat. My only concern was when joining the bus group near the cruise pier. The instructions told us to be at the meeting point 45 minutes after docking. Most of our group arrived in a timely manner. We loaded on the bus and then we sat! We were told that we were waiting on someone. We were more than a half-hour late leaving and the people we waited on, never showed up. That was a bit frustrating and cast a shadow over the experience. But, the experience turned out to be very fun." "Loved this place! All the staff were friendly and helpful! The grounds were very well kept and beautiful! My husband said he had a wonderful massage! The drinks were great and always had someone making sure we always had a fresh drink in hand! The food at the grill was also very good! So happy we choose to visit this resort while on our cruise instead of doing a ship excursion!" - Patty "We had a great day, picked up and dropped off exactly when we were told we would be. Jewel Paradise Cove Resort is clean, and easy to get around, small beach (we didn't go into the ocean) Pool was perfect and not too busy. Easy to find deck chairs and an umbrella We got there and breakfast buffet was still going on - so we had a little to eat, then awesome food later for the lunch buffet Drinks were cold and plentiful. We would highly recommend this an option." - Deb "Booked as part of a cruise stop from Falmouth. Organization at the port and transportation to the Jewel Paradise Cove was great. Returned in plenty of time to shop after our day at the resort. Transport was about 45 mins each way. Check in at the resort was quick. Resort is very good. I would consider for an all inclusive week actually. Nice beach and pool area. Swim up bar was nice. Drinks were average but service was great. Buffet was good (but not as good as on the cruise ship) I would do it again on my next cruise stop to Falmouth or Ocho Rios." - marc |
